Who We Are

Brixsten Academy was founded in 2015 with the objective of providing quality education at affordable cost to various groups of students with the focus of improving the academic performance and building greater personality / character of every student who walks through the doors of the academy.

The founders of the academy were reputed tutors in Klang Valley who were able to impart their knowledge to every student they tutored. The idea of formalizing their efforts to a larger group of students resulted in the formation of Brixsten Academy. To date, the founders have reinvested their rewards into the business with the intention of providing additional facilities and services to students and staff alike.

Brixsten Academy believes that every student is unique by themselves, each with their own capabilities and shortcomings and it is this belief that the founders have shared with the rest of the academic team. This belief has made Brixsten different from other education providers, catering for individual student’s needs and thriving on making these students successful academically and in life.

This led to the growth of Brixsten Academy in serving students who were homeschooled and private candidates. We understand the emotional and psychological impact teenagers go through, to keep up with pressures of education achievement and society. We have customized and personalized our lessons based on the student’s needs and ability.

Brixsten is meant for students from various backgrounds and intelligence. We do not discriminate a slow learner from others. We have ensured that top achievers actually obtain the targeted excellent grades that they deserve, the average learner to step up to become an excellent grader and the slow learner to move up successfully to achieve the grades needed to step into tertiary education. That’s our ultimate goal and we have many success stories that we are proud of.

Brixsten Academy has been very selective in appointing their teachers / educators. The educators are all well-qualified and work in tandem with the aspirations of the founders to provide excellent education for all.

Finally, we believe that with the direction that we have followed since 2015, Brixsten Academy will be the ideal place for every student aspiring to have a pleasant and caring learning environment with the objective of excelling academically and in life.

Mrs Perminder Kaur (Ms Pam) has been involved in the delivery of English language for 31 years. Ms Pam has carved a niche for herself, as a teacher who is able to aid and guide students with low english proficiency.

Ms. Jenny was a lecturer before being promoted to course coordinator, Head of Department and Senior Management positions of a public listed private institution of higher learning. She took a few years off to focus on her children’s education before she returned as centre manager.

With vast experience in the commercial line, Mr. Visnu has been able to relate his practical knowledge to enhance students’ understanding in both Chemistry and Biology subjects. This is evident as students find it much easier and effective when attempting questions in examinations.

Mr. Visnu is a dedicated Biology and Chemistry teacher, who is passionate and have a sound understanding of scientific rules and teaching methods. He analyses the level of students’ understanding before determining a suitable approach to be applied during the students’ course of study. He breaks down complex science terminology and concepts into simpler terms to aid students’ understanding.

Teaching Approach
Mr. Satya uses a student-based custom teaching template which focuses on understanding of key concepts, use of easily relatable examples, simple pneumonic and effective practice questions. Each topic is taught based on specifications listed by exam boards. Model tests are conducted periodically to help assess student’s progress and understanding. Mr. Satya feels that each child is different; hence he alters the program to assist every student as efficiently as possible.

Experience
Mr. Satya has more than 10 years of teaching experience. He believes in modern teaching methods. He uses multimedia tools such as videos and diagrams to help students grasp concepts better and retain information longer, as compared to traditional text-based notes. Mr. Satya also conducts objective-based lessons.

mastering the language. In addition to teaching students from

Centre, Court interpreters and she was a facilitor in training the PT3
